Dr Sargan is available for freelance consultancy and writing work. Below are some of the services he has offered in the past. Please get in touch via the contact section of the site if you think his work might be of interest to you.

Research/Consultancy:

Available to offer specialist advice on any of his primary areas of research, especially those related to the medieval book. Also willing to undertake further research on the client's behalf. Among other things, in the past Dr Sargan has consulted on digital codicology projects. He acted as a research assistant in the early phases of curation for the Bodleian Library's exhibition 'Designing English' (December 1st 2017 - April 22nd 2018). He has also performed in situ research in British libraries for international academics.

Writing:

Experienced at writing for a range of audiences. Dr Sargan has been employed as a writer in a range of settings, producing anything from regular newsletters for mailing lists (using design software and email clients such as MailChimp), to academic talks and articles. For example, he rewrote the gallery leaflets to be used in Kettle's Yard House in Cambridge. He has also been known to blog. 

Tutoring:

Dr Sargan has been working at various levels of education and childcare for over 10 years. Alongside his university teaching he also acts as a tutor for international students. He is also available for private tutoring for students from GCSE to graduate level. In the past he has provided writing support to students studying for their English and History GCSEs, and offered private tuition in palaeography to students at both introductory and advanced levels. In the past Dr Sargan has offered conference childcare support for visiting academics.
